What is permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup is the art of implanting micro pigments just under the skin so that it remains there permanently. The process is very similar to body tattoos, but the pigments used are of a much higher quality and the device used to implant the pigments is more precise than a regular tattoo machine.

Does it hurt?
Topical anesthetic will be used, but there may still be some discomfort. Generally, the eyebrows are the least uncomfortable of all the procedures.

Is it safe?
All pigment colors are hypoallergenic and you can be tested for possible allergic reaction. Every piece of equipment is sanitary and everything that touches the skin is disposable and never reused.

What are the side effects?

There may be redness, puffiness, and some light scabbing, but this is only temporary. The skin around the eyes/eyebrows usually takes approximately one week to heal.  The lips may take up to a week and a half.  There is a risk of infection if the area is not kept clean as directed.

How long will I be out of work?
You can return to work the next day, as redness and swelling will go down significantly overnight.

How do I take care of my make up?
Make sure you do not expose yourself to the sun, no makeup and no swimming for 48 hours. Do not touch affected area with your fingers, do not pick at scabs, and keep area clean with a Q-tip and alcohol or antibiotic ointment.
